About Us

Senator Levin-MSU DemocratsThe Michigan State University College Democrats are the official college outreach arm of the Democratic Party on campus at Michigan State University. We focus on helping to elect Democrats to statewide offices, engaging younger voters in the Democratic process and promoting the ideals of the Democratic Party.

On November 4, 2008, our generation turned out in record numbers for President Barack Obama. In doing so, we made history and changed the political landscape as we know it. Our generation has arrived and is now more engaged than ever. On campuses across the country – including Michigan State University – students organized their friends and got out the vote. That’s why 68% of young people voted for Barack Obama and delivered a mandate for change in our country.

As the next generation of Democratic leaders emerges, the MSU College Democrats will stand behind them to bring peace and prosperity back to America. Young voters have already made a difference in 2008, but it does not stop there. Starting today, we need you to stay involved. We need you to motivate your peers and help us drive the national agenda so we can get our country back on track.
